AEW Debut New Title Belt Design At Revolution 2022
Britt Baker brought out some new hardware for her match with Thunder Rosa.
All Elite Wrestling debuted a brand new Women's World Championship belt at Revolution 2022 tonight.
Dr. Britt Baker DMD came out with the new hardware around her waist as she made her ring entrance for her scheduled title defence against Thunder Rosa. That AEW hadn't announced it would be unveiling a new strap at Revolution made it a pleasant surprise, and the new title looked great, glimmering, as it did, under the bright arena lights.
This is the second time that AEW has redesigned its Women's World Championship. The first change-up came in May 2021, when Hikaru Shida was presented with a larger-plated belt prior to Double Or Nothing 2021, where she ended up losing it to Baker in a long-awaited coronation.

History didn't end up repeating at Revolution. Unlike Shida, Baker was able to successfully defend her new belt, pinning Rosa via curb stomp after multiple interferences from Rebel and Jamie Hayter. An unforeseen result, as many would have pegged a title change as a near certainty before the show.
Baker's reign continues at 281 days, with the likes of Riho, Nyla Rose, Ruby Soho, and Kris Statlander felled along the way.
