AEW Didn't Meet CM Punk At Heathrow Airport

Truly the biggest CM Punk/AEW controversy of all.

In what must surely be considered the greatest, most shocking, and troubling CM Punk controversy yet, AEW did not send staff to meet its former World Champion at London's Heathrow Airport ahead of All In 2023, leaving the 44-year-old to navigate the public transport network alone.

Haus of Wrestling reports that AEW didn't send somebody for Punk as the star touched down in Heathrow, nor did they arrange for a car to take him to his hotel.

When the Chicagoan texted the number AEW had given him for a driver, it was returned as "invalid", meaning Punk had to make his own arrangements.

Punk ended up buying a ticket for the London Underground. The Tube was "fairly busy" and Punk got lost, though he ended up being helped out by fans who recognised him, then set him on his way.

Haus of Wrestling states that Punk arrived in London on Saturday morning. He had left the United States on Friday, having spent extra time in the United States due to filming commitments on Wednesday, and wanting to spend extra time with his family on Thursday.
