AEW Dynamite Rating Falls Slightly In Unfamiliar Saturday Timeslot

A surprisingly decent week, given the circumstances.

The viewing figures for last week's rearranged episode of AEW Dynamite are finally through, with the young promotion posting slight decreases in the most important areas.

As far as the key 18-49 demographic goes, Dynamite experienced a mild decline, going from 0.32 on 12 August to 0.21 on 22 August, though the show still finished in the top five for the night. UFC Fight Night and NBA playoff coverage were the only things to beat it.

Dynamite's average viewership was down from 792,000 on 12 August to 755,000 on 22 August, a fall of just under 5%. This is the show's lowest number since 5 July.

The circumstances mean these figures can't be considered a failure. Dynamite went down in an unfamiliar timeslot and was held up by over 30 minutes due to the NBA playoffs going long. On top of this, the show clashed directly with NXT TakeOver XXX on the WWE Network, with the NBA delay meaning AEW only had 25 minutes to themselves, with the rest of the show up against a WWE supercard.

A solid week all-round, though it'll be interesting to see what happens when the Wednesday Night Wars return this week.
