AEW Finally Sets A Date For Hangman Page Vs. Bryan Danielson

Here’s when AEW’s current World Title feud will be paid off.

‘Hangman’ Adam Page will defend his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson on the 15 December Winter is Coming special episode of Dynamite.

This was confirmed on last night’s show, during which it was also announced that Danielson and Page are forbidden from touching each other until their showdown. Thus, Page was powerless to help as the American Dragon inflicted unnecessary punishment on the Dark Order’s Alan ‘5’ Angels after their singles match.

Danielson’s punishing win over Angels was the latest in a string of Dark Order matches that had already seen him topple Evil Uno and Colt Cabana. Finishing ‘5’ off with a kneebar, while Page watched on from his guest commentary position, Danielson kept the hold locked in after the bell, only letting go when he saw fit.

A post-match promo and confrontation saw John Silver (who faces Danielson next week) chase Bryan from the ring. Hangman and Danielson almost came to blows on the ramp, following on from last week’s swing-and-a-miss with the Buckshot Lariat.

Page has been AEW World Champion since defeating Kenny Omega at Full Gear 2021, which capped a two-year character arc. Danielson earned contendership that same night, meanwhile, toppling Miro to take the World Title Eliminator tournament.
