Fyter Fest will be a TNT event, not a pay-per-view.

This year's AEW Fyter Fest will take place across two shows spread over two weeks, the promotion has confirmed.

The announcement came on last night's episode of Dynamite. Rather than going down on pay-per-view, the show will broadcast on TNT in Dynamite's usual Wednesday evening timeslot, with 1 July and 8 July both playing host.

AEW has confirmed that each of the company's championships will be on the line across the fortnight.

As far as confirmed matches go, we already know that Brian Cage will challenge for Jon Moxley's AEW World Title, having won the Casino Ladder Match at Double Or Nothing 2020. That feud is already brewing on Dynamite. Best Friends, meanwhile, face Hangman Page and Kenny Omega for the Tag Team Championships, earning their opportunity by beating Private Party at DoN. Omega and Page retained against Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc last night.

There's currently no word on who TNT Champion Cody and Hikaru Shida, the women's champ, will defend their straps against.

Last year's Fyter Fest was a collaboration with a CEO gaming event. Held in Daytona Beach, Florida, it was headlined by Jon Moxley's in-ring debut versus Joey Janela.
