AEW Fyter Fest: Jon Moxley Vs. Brian Cage To Be Cancelled?

Things don't look great for Fyter Fest's 8 July main event.

Jon Moxley's upcoming AEW World Championship defence against Brian Cage could be in trouble after recent developments relating to the ongoing global health crisis.

Moxley and Cage are set to wrestle on the second night of AEW Fyter Fest 2020 (8 July), though the promotion plans on taping this show at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida on 1 July. This could be an issue now that Moxley's wife, WWE's Renee Young, has tested positive, leading to Moxley pulling out of yesterday's episode of Dynamite.

Contact with somebody who had rested positive (presumably Young) saw Moxley decide against travelling to the show. He is now quarantining with Young in their home and is yet to test positive himself, though as Dave Meltzer pointed out on today's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Mox should now self-isolate for two weeks - meaning he'd miss Fyter Fest.

There's currently no word on whether or not AEW is working on a contingency plan, though last night's Dynamite was blown apart by the current situation, with QT Marshall also pulling out after contact with somebody who had caught the illness. Sammy Guevara was also pulled following his recent suspension.
