One of AEW's famed four pillars is out of action due to a shoulder problem.

With AEW struck by the injury bug right now, you can add Jungle Boy to the list of stars currently out of action.

Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that JB is dealing with a shoulder injury right now. While he couldn't confirm 100% that this injury occurred during the ladder match on the 15 June edition of AEW Dynamite, Meltzer added how "that would make sense".

Of course, that Dynamite offering saw Jurassic Express drop the AEW Tag Team Championships to the Young Bucks in said ladder outing. Since then, there have also been rumblings that the Hardy Boyz - that contest originally set as a triple threat offering - were earmarked to win the AEW Tag Team Titles. Either way, it looks like Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus were always going to lose their titles to someone in that ladder bout.

Following that match, Christian Cage turned heel by attacking Jungle Boy. After being hit with a Conchairto, the 25-year-old was carried to the back on a stretcher as Christian berated the star's mother and sister at ringside.

In terms of talent currently on the sidelines through injury, Jungle Boy joins a list that includes CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Red Velvet, the Bunny, Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish, Anthony Bowens, Darius Martin, and of course Kenny Omega. In addition to that, New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Tomohiro Ishii and Hiromu Takahashi have both had to pull out of tonight's Forbidden Door PPV, and Jeff Hardy is serving a suspension for his most recent DUI arrest.
