Following the events of this past Sunday's AEW All Out Buy-In show and this week's Dynamite, it appears that, yes, All Elite Wrestling is indeed gearing up for its first ever Hair vs. Hair match.

As per the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, the ongoing feud between Matt Hardy and Orange Cassidy is heading towards a contest where one of the men will have to give up their hair.

Hardy and his HFO associates have been tangling with Freshly Squeezed and the Best Friends for the past month or more, and the aforementioned Buy-In saw Hardy Family Office stooge Jack Evans try to cut the hair of OC.

That particular attack on Cassidy was halted by a slew of babyfaces hitting the ring, including John Silver, the Varsity Blonds and Dante Martin. By the time of Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Hardy cut a promo proclaiming his wish to take Orange's hair, whilst Cassidy responded with a familiar "whatever".

There's no specific word on when exactly this Hair vs. Hair contest will take place, although two dates that clearly jump out right now are the 22 September AEW Dynamite show from Arthur Ashe Stadium and the Full Gear PPV that takes place on 13 November - it just depends on how long AEW chooses to drag this out for.
