AEW Postpones Jon Moxley Vs. Brian Cage Until 15 July

All Elite Wrestling has pushed back the bout pitting World Champion Jon Moxley against Brian Cage from 8 July's Fyter Fest show to the previously unannounced Fight for the Fallen special on 15 July.

This was announced during part one of Fyter Fest last night, with Cage's manager Taz cutting a searing promo on Moxley as the news was broken. The ECW legend called Moxley a "chickensh*t" for staying at home despite testing negative, sniping at WWE for their shoddy handling of the ongoing global health crisis in the process.

Moxley's wife, WWE's Renee Young, revealed last week that she had tested positive for the illness currently sweeping the globe. This led to the AEW Champion deciding to pull out of Dynamite as he didn't want to risk infecting his colleagues. Mox has since tested negative twice, though these tests are far from infallible, so deciding to extend the champ's quarantine and not put their roster at risk is a smart, conscientious move.

Last year's Fight for the Fallen show saw AEW donate the gate to the Jacksonville Victim Assistance Advisory council. Cage vs. Moxley is the only bout announced for the 2020 lineup so far.
