Assuming they don't cross the Pacific Ocean before then, those dates will be the first time Sabian and Ford have ever wrestled in Japan.
The move represents the latest example of AEW's working relationship with CyberAgent's group of companies, which also includes TJPW and Pro Wrestling NOAH. Wrestlers like Yuka Sakazaki and Maki Itoh, who primarily work for TJPW, have been crossing over into AEW for years (particularly Sakazaki, a Double Or Nothing 2019 debutant). DDT wrestlers like Konosuke Takeshita and Jun Akiyama have also appeared in AEW, with the former announced as a full-time AEW signing after making a tremendous impact following a successful summer 2022 excursion.
AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega, a DDT alumnus himself, is understood to have played a pivotal role in this working relationship's formation. Kenny last worked for the promotion in November 2019, teaming with Riho in a win over Miyu Yamashita and Antonio Honda.
