AEW have announced on Twitter that Eddie Kingston is now officially 'All Elite'.

The independent sensation made his AEW debut fighting for Cody Rhodes' TNT Championship on July 22. He eventually lost this No DQ war, but his work in the match and stellar promos before and after the bout clearly impressed Tony Khan.

Now, after the hashtag #SignEddieKingston began trending on Twitter in the wake of his fantastic appearance, the 'Mad King' has been officially signed to All Elite Wrestling.

Kingston made a name for himself in various promotions such as Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling and Chikara during his near two decade professional wrestling career.

Various current AEW stars have all celebrated the signing of Kingston on Twitter.

Colt Cobana stated that his signing was 'a great story in the world of wrestling'. Brodie Lee admitted that the pair could 'run back Ottawa anytime old friend, and Big Swole couldn't hide her excitement when tweeting out 'And my soul cries out YAAAASSSSSS'.

However, not everyone was happy to hear of the Kingston acquisition.

MJF clearly let his feelings be known, tweeting 'More mistakes under dictator Jon's reign.'

Who will Kingston's first target be now that he is 'All Elite'? Does he deserve another shot at Cody's belt? Or has MJF just bitten off more than he can chew?
