AEW Star "Didn't Comprehend" How Over He Was

This AEW wrestler didn't really understand how popular he was until recently.

Wardlow didn't know that AEW fans were into him. Or, at least, the ex-TNT Champion "didn't comprehend" just how over he was until recently. During a chat with Busted Open Radio, the powerbomb-loving big man said he wishes he'd been able to stop and smell the roses a little more.

He's determined to make up for that by rising up the ranks again.

Wardlow acknowledged that he'll need to work hard if he's going to recapture the magic that swept through AEW live crowds before his recent sabbatical. By his own admission, the guy "almost feels like it slipped through [his] fingers without [him] realising it". By "it", he surely means the entire experience of being a mega-over breakout babyface.

His "steam was at a different level" before, but it can be again if Tony Khan books things properly going forwards. Wardlow is set to collide with Samoa Joe for the TNT belt on this weekend's Revolution pay-per-view, so there's still time to put things right.

Next time, Wardlow says he'll soak it all in and appreciate what's happening around him a bit more than he did before.
