AEW Star Comments On Adam Cole's 'Free Agent' Status

Someone has a LOT to say about Adam Cole potentially leaving WWE and jumping to AEW.

Matt Hardy isn't shy.

The AEW star posted a throwback pic of himself with Adam Cole on his Twitter page. It shows Hardy and Cole together in ROH back in 2014. Matt also said he's "not surprised" see that there's "lots of buzz" about the ex-NXT Champion right now.

He views Cole, who looks set to leave WWE as a free agent imminently, as "one of the elite" in pro wrestling. It's not hard to see what Matt is going for here - he's happy to jump on the hype train and drop heavy hints that Cole should sign on the dotted line with AEW.

It does look like a TakeOver 36 loss to old Undisputed Era pal (and ROH tag-team partner) Kyle O'Reilly could be Cole's last hurrah in WWE. Recent reports suggest that the NXT man is all-but-done as a WWE talent. Of course, that could change within seconds if he does decide to stay put.

The wrestling community, as it often does, has made up its mind though; most believe that Cole will leave the company and take his skills elsewhere.

Would Matt Hardy be gutted if that meant a move to AEW was on the cards? Not one bit.
