AEW star Wardlow has told Muscle & Fitness that he credits Batista for his entire pro wrestling career.

The Pinnacle heavy says he used to look at the multi-time WWE World Champ and think, "That’s it, that’s what I am gonna be". Wardlow shares a lot of similarities with Dave; he's big, he's muscular, he's handsome and he's been introduced as a bodyguard for somebody else (Batista for Reverend D-Von and Wardlow for MJF).

Still, he'd like to thank the WWE Hall Of Famer for inspiring him someday.

Wardlow also credited a healthy appetite for exercise as another reason why he managed to reach the heights of AEW. He scanned pics of Batista, Arnold Schwarzenegger and others, then tried to reshape his body to look like their physiques.

Let's just say it worked out well for the guy.

Wardlow turned heads immediately upon joining AEW, but he's in a great spot as part of The Pinnacle alongside MJF, FTR, Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard. Together, the group will clash with The Inner Circle in the second 'Stadium Stampede' match at AEW's Double Or Nothing 2021 pay-per-view this Sunday.
