AEW's Fuego Del Sol is currently in hospital due to a mouth infection.

Taking to Twitter, Fuego revealed that he's undergone surgery and is hopeful of being discharged from hospital at some point today. This all comes just a matter of days after the high flying had detailed on social media how he was dealing with "horrible toothache".

Having competed for AEW as far back as May 2020 - debuting on the 28 May '20 episode of AEW Dark - Fuego Del Sol formally became #AllElite last August. Memorably, Fuego was presented with an AEW contract by real-life friend Sammy Guevara on the first episode of AEW Rampage.

There, Del Sol had been decimated by Miro before Guevara and Tony Khan came out on the stage. Sammy made his way to the ring to offer his friend an AEW deal, with all of this said to have been a legit shoot for the surprised Fuego.

More recently, the 26-year-old grappler has found himself in the crosshairs of Malakai Black and his House of Black stable, and this past week's Dynamite saw Black and his cohorts try to unmask Fuego until Death Triangle put a stop to proceedings.

From all of us here at WhatCulture Wrestling, here's to a swift recovery for Fuego Del Sol.
