Current ROH Women's Champion and AEW star Athena is happy to keep options open on the WWE front, but says she's "enjoying her time" with Tony Khan's company.

Speaking via a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing on Facebook, Athena told fans that she'd be lying if she said she didn't "miss the people [in WWE]". Explaining, she went on to say that she "made like a really big group of friends there between the crew and the staff and some girls and guys in the locker room".

It'd be cool to catch up with those folks someday, so who knows what will happen? Athena made a big splash when she joined All Elite - her debut at Double Or Nothing 2022 seemed to suggest that she'd be the first woman to defeat Jade Cargill. That wasn't the case, and Athena quickly settled into a groove on Ring Of Honor programming instead.

Things didn't really work out for the one-time Ember Moon on WWE's main roster. She was a hot topic on NXT, but creative never seemed sure what to do with her on Raw or SmackDown. Might things be different next time? Don't rule it out.

Athena certainly isn't.
