WWE writers got the brunt of this AEW man's angry rant about over-scripted promos.

To hell with being on the receiving end of an angry rant from a ticked off Paul Wight.

That's what happened to Freddie Prinze Jr and the rest of WWE's creative team years ago. Back then, Prinze Jr (who was new to the wrestling writer's game) scripted a lengthy promo for the giant that didn't sit well with him - Big Show stormed into the office and wanted to know "who the f*ck" wrote the thing.

Freddie put his hand up.

Wight and Prinze Jr laughed on the actor's new 'Wrestling With Freddie' podcast when reliving that moment. Show wasn't chuffed that he'd been handed four pages of dialogue for that evening's Raw, especially because he also had a match to work and was interfering in some other segments.

Prinze Jr told Wight that Michael Hayes and fellow ex-writer Chris DeJoseph had helped him work on the script. It had also been approved by none other than Vince McMahon. An incensed Wight didn't care. He told them to trim it down and never hand him "War & Peace" ever again.

Freddie noted on the pod that he'd cobbled the promo together in 25 minutes. Paul was concerned it'd take him that long to deliver it!
