AEW Star Suffers "Freak Accident", Set To Miss Time

AEW wrestler details the unfortunate situation that looks set to leave him injured for a while.

Fuego Del Sol will be out of AEW action for a while, having suffered what he describes as a "freak accident" last weekend.

Fuego was wrestling for indie group Supreme Pro Wrestling last Sunday, facing Guapo Lupe and Daniel Torch in a three-way. As outlined on Twitter, the 2021 AEW signee got hurt when one of his opponents fell on his foot after a dropkick. Fuego thought he had broken something, feeling a "sharp pain shoot up" his foot, realising he was struggling to put weight on it.

The 27-year-old was able to finish the match. By the time he got to the back, however, things had "swollen up pretty bad." After getting his foot X-rayed, Fuego learned that he had suffered a dislocation, leaving him facing a five-to-six-week recovery time - provided there is no ligament damage.

If there is ligament damage, Fuego could be out for around three months.

Per the wrestler himself:-

Fuego was brought in as an AEW full-timer after a 2021 program with real-life friend Sammy Guevara and then-TNT Champion Miro. Today, he operates primarily on Dark and Dark: Elevation, having not made a Dynamite appearance since October 2022.
