If you were wondering why Angelico hasn't been active in All Elite Wrestling recently, it's because he suffered a potentially serious injury in late 2021.

This is according to Angelico himself, who tweeted the following on Thursday, revealing that he had been struck down by a torn ACL and meniscus:-

Official Announcement: Unfortunately the bad news is I can confirm the rumors. I suffered a torn ACL and meniscus at the end of 2021. The good news as you can see below, is that my recovery is well ahead of schedule and my return to the ring is just around the corner!

The attached video of Angelico balancing on a narrow beam is encouraging - as is news that his recovery is progressing well. All the best to him as he continues working his way back to the ring.

Angelico's last AEW bout was a win over Invictus Khash taped for Dark on 3 December 2021. Prior to that, he hadn't wrestled on company television since September.

Jack Evans, Angelico's partner in The Hybrid 2, has been off TV since October himself, though he worked the company's Dark tapings in January and February of this year, eating defeats to Wheeler YUTA and Dante Martin.
