In a since withdrawn news story, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has disclosed a wild story emanating from AEW Full Gear weekend, first reported by bodyslam.net: a drunken skirmish between talent Jimmy Havoc and commentator Excalibur at Jimmy's Seafood Buffet.

It should be noted that Sapp has "unpublished" the story until "tonight", under the belief that a direct source - that being Tony Khan - will address the fracas during the post-show media scrum.

So take it with a pinch of sugar until now, but per the original report:

"[Jimmy Havoc] was reportedly very intoxicated at Tony Schiavone’s Birthday Party. Havoc took a swing at Excalibur, but he missed. Then the masked commentator grabbed Jimmy Havoc in a chokehold that “put him to sleep.” All of this went down right in front of Tony Khan. Atlas security stepped in and got Excalibur to release the choke hold, however the incident was not over because when Havoc came to he once again throws a punch at Excalibur only this time he connected. This resulted in a skirmish/brawl/pull apart between the two, until Atlas security could break it up and escort Jimmy Havoc outside."

The two men have previous: in an interview held on the A Gentleman & A Scholar shoot series, "sh*t got weird" between Excalibur and Havoc. Havoc indirectly called "Ex" "a c*nt" for being American and thus not "caring about the world". He left the set in a temper, but did return.

The source of the animosity in this specific, rumoured instance was unclear - but if Tony Khan's eyes dart from side to side in front of the media, something is definitely up.
