AEW star Austin Gunn has posted a lengthy rant on X about scathing criticism from fans and wrestlers alike when he and brother Colten started wrestling.

The Bullet Club Gold member was shooting from the hip when he discussed people saying things like, "You guys aren't ready yet" even when The Gunns were starting to show rapid improvement during their early days in the industry.

Naturally, being the sons of a former WWE star like Billy Gunn actually worked against Austin and Colten at first. There were simmering cries of nepotism, which Austin didn't take kindly to. He knows how hard he and his sibling have worked to get ahead in AEW.

At one point during his online rant, Austin threatened to "expose that deer on ice or the wrestlers that have been protected" behind the scenes. In a kayfabe-esque add-on, he also said: "All the veterans backstage give us standing ovations like we won the purple heart, but I’m supposed to follow the direction of a tweet on X?".

Closing, Gunn said: We’ll never get our flowers, so we’ll grow our own".

The man doesn't lack confidence, that's for sure!
