Adam Cole is injured and out of this weekend's AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, leaving partner MJF to defend the ROH World Tag Team Championships against The Righteous in a handicap match.
This was announced on last night's Dynamite. Cole confirmed that after breaking his ankle in three places and suffering torn ligaments the previous week, he requires surgery. While there is currently no word on how long, exactly, he will be out for, Cole promised to return as soon as he could.
Cole was wearing a large cast over his ankle and lower leg during the in-ring segment, which appeared to be heading in the direction of Adam announced that he and MJF would relinquish the ROH Tag Team Titles. MJF cut him off, however, saying that he didn't want their run to end that way, so he'd go it alone against Vincent and Dutch at WrestleDream.
Adam's partner, Britt Baker, hit X to share several images of Cole's injured ankle, including an X-ray:

MJF and Cole vs. The Righteous was set to headline WrestleDream prior to Cole's injury, which occurred when Adam leapt from the ramp during last week's Dynamite main event between MJF and Samoa Joe.
