Time for AEW to push one of its multi-talented potential-packed up-and-comers?

A likely in-character Ricky Starks has called for a "changing of the guards" in professional wrestling.

The All Elite Wrestling star tweeted the following on Sunday evening, hoping for a new star's emergence:-

Starks is, of course, talking about himself. The picture comes from last week's episode of AEW Rampage, on which he was a participant in the first ever 'Royal Rampage' battle royal for a shot at interim World Champion Jon Moxley's belt. The Team Taz man fared well alongside partner Powerhouse Hobbs, eliminating John Silver and rival Keith Lee before he was thrown out by 'Hangman' Adam Page.

The House of Black's Brody King ended up taking the Royal Rumble, eliminating Darby Allin last. He challenges Moxley on this Wednesday's Dynamite.

Starks and Hobbs are currently positioned at number two in AEW's tag team rankings. The duo last fought for the World Tag Team Championships at Double Or Nothing 2022 (29 May), where Jurassic Express were victorious in a bout also featuring Team Taz rivals Lee and Swerve Strickland. Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus have since split up in the wake of dropping the gold to The Young Bucks.
