AEW's Brian Cage Shoots Down Injury Speculation
Brian Cage speaks out on speculation he is injured.
It's been a while since wrestling fans have seen Brian Cage on AEW programming, but the big man wants you to know this isn't due to injury.
The former FTW World Champion has addressed the speculation about his sidelining on Twitter. On Thursday, he stated claims of knee and shoulder problems were false, as were additional "unspecified" reports.
Said Cage:-
It's funny to see how many people have put out claims I've been injured...I've seem knee, shoulder, and unspecified reports. Nope, I'm not nor have been injured.

The 38-year-old's AEW career has been one of the most curious in the company's short history. Signed in January 2020 and debuting after recovering from injury that May, he initially looked set for a considerable push, starring, as he did, in a short World Title program with Jon Moxley. But when Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Hook came into Team Taz, Cage slipped from prominence. He is currently approaching a full year off AEW television after last appearing on the 8 October 2021 Rampage.
Despite his lack of usage, AEW opted to utilise a one-year extension clause on Cage's contract in April, surprising even Brian himself.
Cage's last appearance in a Tony Khan-helmed promotion was at ROH Supercard Of Honor in April, where he joined Tully Blanchard Enterprises with the Gates of Agony. He hadn't been announced for tomorrow's Supercard Of Honor 2022 show at the time of writing.
