Some potentially awful news has emerged for AEW's Britt Baker, with the promotion suspecting that she suffered a torn ACL on this week's Dynamite.

Baker was teaming with Women's Champion Nyla Rose against Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida when she was hurt. It is believed that the injury was incurred during a spot that show Shida and Statlander powerbomb Rose onto Baker while Britt was sitting down in the corner. The 29-year-old had her knee bent at the time and Nyla landed right on it, which may have caused the tear.

Britt was visibly limping afterwards and while she technically finished the match, she played no further role in how it played out. Rose tagged her partner out and ended up winning the match solo against Statlander and Shida.

If it is a torn ACL, Baker could miss between 6-9 months of action. Britt is currently scheduled for an MRI to clarify the situation.

Baker vs. Statlander remained on this Saturday's Double Or Nothing pay-per-view card at the time of writing. This is now in serious doubt, with the injury coming at perhaps the worst possible time for the resurgent talent.
