The warmest of congratulations to All Elite Wrestling power couple Brandi and Cody Rhodes, who announced on last night's episode of Dynamite that they are expecting their first child together.

This news came via a vignette. Brandi and Cody were putting up their Christmas Tree when their doorbell rang and a small parcel was left on their doorstep, with the couple bringing it indoors. Inside was a tiny pair of baby shoes and a decorative note confirming that their baby shall arrive sometime in 2021.

Brandi accompanied Cody to the ring for his match with Angelico immediately after this, though she didn't stick around for the duration, understandably.

Interviewed by PEOPLE, the mother-to-be said the following:-

"Cody and I are so excited and overwhelmed by this news. We’ve had seven exciting years of marriage, worked together to grow our careers and our core at AEW from the ground up, and now here we are embarking on another incredible chapter. We have always talked about it as a future, and it turns out that the future is now. It’s surreal that parenthood is right around the corner! We are ready and excited to dive right in."

Again, congratulations to Brandi and Cody on the fantastic news. A ray of bright light at the end of a cold, dark year.
