All Elite Wrestling kept Saraya's debut in the promotion a surprise by hiding the former Paige in a closet.

Speaking on the latest episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Aubrey Edwards said that Saraya's closet was labelled "AEW Tech Supply" so that anybody roaming around the building that night would know not to go in there. Saraya then stayed hidden inside until it was time for her arrival.

Saraya debuted for AEW at its Grand Slam special in Queens, New York's Arthur Ashe Stadium on 21 September. Signed by the promotion a little over two months after her WWE deal had expired, she has since been cleared to wrestle by AEW's medical team and launched into an onscreen feud with Britt Baker.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but, with the duo constantly brawling on television, Full Gear 2022 (19 November) seems a likely blow-off point for what would be Saraya's first match since December 2017. The former WWE Divas Champion was forced into early retirement after suffering a recurrence of a serious neck injury shortly after returning that year.

Now, after almost five tumultuous years, Saraya appears to be on the way back to the ring.
