AEW's FTR Are Heading To Mexico
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler's AAA debut has just been confirmed.
FTR's ongoing feud with The Lucha Brothers is heading to AAA.
Yesterday saw the Mexican promotion reveal the full lineup for its TripleMania Regia (4 December) via press conference, including an AAA World Tag Team Title match with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler defending their straps against Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo.
That FTR would end up wrestling for AAA seemed inevitable from the moment they took the promotion's Tag Team Titles from Penta and Fenix last month. Disguising themselves in green bodysuits, Harwood and Wheeler won the belts on AEW Dynamite's 16 October episode, birthing a fresh feud with a tandem with whom they are yet to work an extended tag match since joining Tony Khan's promotion.
FTR and the Lucha Bros will contest the latter duo's AEW World Tag Team Titles at Full Gear 2021 this Saturday (13 November).
Further AEW representation at AAA TripleMania Regia is provided in the main event, where Kenny Omega defends the Mega Championship against El Hijo Del Vikingo in a long-awaited match. Elsewhere, the show will feature Cain Velasquez's return to wrestling for the first time since February 2020, as the former UFC Heavyweight Champion competes in a six-man tag.
