FTR's Dax Harwood has opened the door for a tag team dream match pitting him and Cash Wheeler against Impact Wrestling's Motor City Machine Guns.

Harwood tweeted the following in response to a fan pitching the match yesterday:-

FTR are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions, having defeated Hangman Page and Kenny Omega to capture the belts at All Out 2020. The Motor City Machine Guns of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been Impact Tag Team Champions since the promotion's 21 July episode, on which they beat The North.

The two tandems have never faced each other. While these four wrestlers have decades of experience between them, they have never shared a full-time, contracted roster, and have never tangled on the indies either, making this one of the few first-time-ever dream matches left in American tag team wrestling.

While AEW is yet to forge a formal working relationship with another promotion inside the United States, recent weeks have seen NWA Women's Champion Thunder Rosa appear on the company's programming, though Tony Khan has stated this agreement is "the extent of a personal relationship between myself and [NWA President] Billy Corgan."
