AEW's HOOK Finally Speaks, Threatens Danhausen

Young prodigy breaks his silence to put Danhausen on notice after weeks of prodding.

If you've been waiting to hear what HOOK's voice sounds like, you finally got your wish on AEW Rampage Friday night.

The cold-hearted handsome devil has been a strong-and-silent type since debuting in AEW, donning hoodies and munching on crisps. HOOK is undefeated in AEW, though this Wednesday marked his first match on Dynamite, which would seemingly indicate a movement toward bigger and better things for the rookie.

Recently, he's gained the attention of Danhausen, who has unsuccessfully tried to curse HOOK repeatedly. His patience boiled over Wednesday when he confronted HOOK and challenged him to a fight, but Taz's son simply walked off without saying a word.

Danhausen has theorized that it's the chips HOOK chomps that give him his power over the curse, and he took this to a bit of an extreme on Rampage:

Unless we've missed an errant line, these were HOOK's first words on AEW TV, something that had become a bit of a theme with interviewers trying to get something -- anything -- from the young star.

Regardless, it looks like we're going to get what could only be described as a clash of styles between HOOK and Danhausen at some point in the near future.
