AEW's Sammy Guevara And Tay Conti Get Engaged In Paris
The most divisive pair in AEW made their engagement official at the Eiffel Tower.
AEW couple Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti have officially gotten engaged.
With the news being broken by TMZ of the former TNT Champion proposing to his partner Conti during a recent trip to Paris' Eiffel Tower, the twosome are now officially on the road to marriage.
The duo have been dating since December and most recently found themselves involved in a feud with The Men of the Year and Dan Lambert's American Top Team, a rivalry that resulted in a six-person bout at Double or Nothing involving former UFC fighter Paige VanZant making her AEW in-ring debut.
Said programme also saw the previously babyface pair undergo something of an unexpected heel turn, with much of the All Elite faithful not exactly taking to the sight of Guevara and Conti excessively locking lips on the ramp in recent weeks.
Due to the stipulation and eventual result of the aforementioned Double or Nothing bout, Guevara, along with Kazarian, is now unable to challenge for the TNT Championship as long as Scorpio Sky holds his customised strap.
It's still yet to be confirmed when the happy couple will officially tie the knot.
TMZ wrote of the engagement:

Guevara, 28, asked Tay, real name Taynara Melo de Carvalho, to be his wife with one of the world’s most iconic (and romantic) structures as a backdrop. In classic, old-school fashion, Sammy got down on one knee before asking Conti — who he’s been dating since December — to marry him. 26-year-old Conti wore a mauve pink, rose-gold colored dress … while Sammy sported a green suit, white shirt and a paisley green tie. They looked stunning! Of course, Tay managed to show off the new rock her future hubby got her, while Sammy held the Brazilian wrestler in his arms with a massive smile. Sammy and Tay are regularly paired together on AEW programming … and it appears they have undeniable chemistry both on and off-screen. Congrats!!”
