AEW's Tay Conti has issued a statement via her official Instagram page.

Conti told followers that she decided to delete her Twitter account after "reading some unnecessary comments" about her personal life - Tay then went on to definitively say that her personal life "is no one's business, and no one has the right to create false rumours or harass me for something that wasn’t my fault".

The AEW women's division stand out had been caught in the eye of a social media storm amidst rumours of a relationship with Sammy Guevara that caused the now-ex TNT Champion to call off his engagement. Tay wasn't keen to see total strangers rip her reputation to shreds though, and rightfully so.

That's why she deleted Twitter.

During the Instagram statement, Conti said that "haters will not take [her] happiness away". She also added, "When I look in the mirror, I’m happy to see who I am and I’m proud of myself", and told anyone hating on a personal life they know nothing about to "just leave".

Fans shouldn't expect to see Tay back on Twitter any time soon.
