AEW's Thunder Rosa Reveals Positive COVID-19 Test
The former NWA Women's Champion has fortunately recovered from her battle with the virus.
All Elite Wrestling's Thunder Rosa has revealed she went through a battle with COVID-19 earlier this year, testing positive for the virus currently sweeping the planet as an apparent result of travelling.
Speaking during a Q&A session with Pro Wrestling Junkies, the former NWA Women's Champion revealed she has already received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine (h/t Fightful for the transcription):-
"I traveled the whole pandemic. Unfortunately, I got COVID at the beginning of the year. I was able to go through it well and now I got my vaccine. I’m waiting to get the other one and I’m still being cautious."
January saw Rosa pulled from a match with rival Britt Baker on January's AEW New Year's Smash show. Per the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, this was a result of her coming into contact with somebody who had tested positive, leading to Rosa missing the tapings.
Still pulling double duty in AEW and the NWA, Rosa defeated Baker when their match was rebooked for Dynamite's 17 March episode, doing so in a brutal, bloody war that drew considerable critical acclaim. She has since won three matches in a raw on Dark: Elevation, hitting number five in the company's rankings.
