AJ Styles Formally Invited To AEW (WWE News)

One of AEW's top stars just invited AJ Styles to jump over from WWE soon.

Swerve Strickland would love to see AJ Styles in AEW.

Fightful reports that the former AEW World Champion told fans gathered for a Q&A how he has tremendous respect for everything AJ has accomplished in pro wrestling. Specifically, Swerve pointed to the likes of Seth Rollins, Will Ospreay, Mike Bailey and himself as workers who have studied Styles over the years since he broke into view as part of the fledgling TNA roster.

Since then, AJ has gone on to make a splash in New Japan and WWE. His decade long stint with the latter has earned him Hall Of Fame status - The Undertaker stopped by during Monday's Raw show to announce that Styles will be getting inducted shortly before WrestleMania 42 this April.

Strickland did add: "I'm not chasing after anybody's matches". However, he can't deny that he'd like to step inside the ring with someone the calibre of AJ. That'd be a true highlight moment for Swerve, but it can only happen if Styles does decide to call time on his WWE ties and work elsewhere.

AEW grabbing AJ has been in the rumour mill for years now, but the 'Phenomenal One' chose to stay loyal to WWE despite reports linking him to a move. Styles worked what looks like his final match for the promotion vs. Gunther at Royal Rumble 2026 over in Saudi Arabia late last month.

It remains to be seen what he'll choose to do in the immediate future, but AJ hasn't ruled out wrestling again at some point. Swerve Strickland thinks that should be under Tony Khan's watch.
