Alberto El Patron Detained Following Alleged Domestic Violence Incident At Orlando Airport

PWInsider reported on Monday that GFW Champion Alberto El Patron was detained in an Orlando airport following an alleged domestic violence incident. The Orlando Police Department confirmed the story in a statement, acknowledging that Jose Rodriguez (Patron) was involved in an incident of "domestic violence battery" that is still under investigation, though no arrests have been made.

TMZ Sports took the story one step further, claiming that Patron was seen in what was described as "an argument" and then "an altercation" with a woman at Orlando International Airport. TMZ also reported that Patron's fiancee, WWE superstar Paige, was present at the scene.

Paige later took to Twitter to share her and Patron's side of the story, claiming that she and her fiance were sharing a moment after learning some bad news when a woman took their picture. Paige also said that the woman threw a drink on Patron. Thus far, the alleged victim's name has not been released.

Patron left WWE last year amid scandal, exercising an "out" clause in his contract after failing a drug test. He turned up in Impact Wrestling earlier this year and unified the Impact Championship with the GFW Championship at last Sunday's Slammiversary show.
