The wrestler formerly known as Aleister Black and Tommy End is All Elite.

Now going by Malakai Black, the former NXT Champion debuted on last night's special episode of AEW Dynamite, Road Rager, interrupting a segment featuring Tony Schiavone and Arn Anderson.

The lights went out while Anderson was being interviewed in the ring. Sporting a single white contact lens and faint face paint, Black was there when they came back on, wiping the legend out with the roundhouse kick once known as the Black Mass.

When Cody Rhodes tried to rush to his mentor's aid, he ate a mouthful of Black's boot as well.

The Miami crowd gave Black a great reception, coming alive for an unexpected appearance that came several months before anyone could have realistically anticipated it going down, given he was only released by WWE on 2 June. As covered earlier, Malakai's debut was made possible by a clerical error on his former employer's behalf.

While we're still awaiting formal confirmation that Black has signed with AEW, the promotion has already released his first t-shirt:-

Wednesday also saw Malakai release a cinematic vignette in which he was being held inside what appeared to be a mental asylum.
