Outside of an incredible WrestleMania presentation with John Cena, The Fiend simply didn't make sense, and WWE never attempted to correct. That's as simple a way of explaining how calamitous the character was, but review literally any of his eight televised matches in the gimmick for evidence. It's in ample supply bell-to-bell, let alone during his segments.
