Following up on today’s earlier story, it looks as if Andrade has indeed requested his WWE release.

As first reported by WrestlingINC, the one-time NXT Champion is believed to have asked for his release during this past Monday’s Raw taping. It’s not yet known whether said release has been granted, and it’s worth noting that, as of this writing, Andrade is still listed as a member of the Raw roster on WWE.com.

For those who missed it, the ridiculously talented Andrade removed all mentions of WWE from his social media bios earlier today. He also took to Instagram to proclaim, “If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree” – which obviously only added more fuel to this particular fire.

El Idolo hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since last October, with him initially taking some time off to undergo what was said to be a minor procedure. Of course, November then saw Andrade’s long-time manager Zelina Vega fired by WWE, although there has been speculation of seeing him possibly paired with real-life fiancé Charlotte Flair on Raw at some point.

WWE has yet to comment on any of this, and Andrade himself has yet to confirm his formal release from Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment juggernaut – but all signs certainly seem to suggest that 31-year-old’s time with WWE is coming to an end.
