Another Big AEW Wrestler Comeback During Rampage Tapings (SPOILERS)
SPOILERS on a significant AEW return taped for Rampage this week.
Keith Lee returned to AEW at last night's Rampage tapings, accosting Swerve Strickland and his Mogul Affiliates in an angle set to air this Friday.
Per the spoilers, Strickland's billed match with Dustin Rhodes ended via disqualification, thanks to Parker Boudreaux. This then drew Lee from the back to make the save, presumably saving Rhodes from suffering more damage at the hands of Swerve, Boudreaux, and Trench.
Friday will be the first time Lee has appeared on AEW screens since December. The promotion had written him off via injury angle, as the Mogul Affiliates' formation culminated in Trench and Boudreaux neutralising and restraining Keith while Strickland stomped a cinderblock across his chest.
Keith and Strickland had been teaming as Swerve In Our Glory prior to this. Though their tension was established early in their run, the duo became World Tag Team Champions nonetheless, dethroning The Young Bucks in July 2022. A two-month reign followed, with Swerve In Our Glory leaning towards heeldom before eventually putting The Acclaimed over as new champions at Grand Slam.
Strickland vs. Lee will presumably continue now that Keith is back on television.
