Good news for fans of big-time WrestleMania 38 rematches: you're getting another on Sunday 8 May.

Last night's episode of WWE Raw brought the announcement that Edge will face WM 38 opponent AJ Styles at the promotion's next premium live event, WrestleMania Backlash 2022. This means that three of the four bouts confirmed for the show so far are full-on 'Mania rematches.

AJ vs. Edge II was put together when the latter challenged his rival for Backlash, promising to put a stake through Styles' heart. The babyface then accepted the challenge, though he was promptly beaten down backstage by Edge and Damian Priest, who attacked the former WWE Champion after screwing with the locker-room lighting. Cutting out entirely at one point, they were blue when they came back on.

Edge defeated Styles at 'Mania 38, taking advantage of a distraction from Priest to score the pinfall via spear.
