Another Big Name Leaves IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling's departures continue.

Mia Yim
IMPACT Wrestling

Mia Yim is officially done with IMPACT Wrestling, Fightful Select reports.

The former Jade has become a free agent after not extending her contract with the Anthem-helmed promotion. She had been working under a short-term deal since coming back to IMPACT in May, with Fightful previously reporting that this was due to expire on 9 October.

Mia still had what was billed as a "Career Threatening Match" with Mickie James on the docket when the previous contract story broke. The bout stipulated that James would have to step away in the event of a defeat, though she ended up beating Yim at Bound For Glory 2022 on 7 October.

Following Bound For Glory, Mia put the returning Taylor Wilde over at IMPACT's television tapings in Albany, New York on 8 October. This match is yet to air.

Fightful states that the door for Yim to someday return to IMPACT remains open. It seems she left a positive impression on the locker room, too, with sources praising her on the way out.

Before returning to IMPACT in May, Yim had been a free agent since November 2021, when she was released from her WWE contract after three up-and-down years with the market leaders.
