Another HUGE Name Was Backstage At WWE Survivor Series 2023

This major former title holder was backstage at Survivor Series.

Stephanie McMahon

While all of the talk coming out of WWE Survivor Series 2023 is about the return of CM Punk, another notable name backstage for this Premium Live Event was Stephanie McMahon.

Per Fightful Select, McMahon was at Survivor Series solely as a visitor and to hang out rather than being there in any official work capacity.

Of course, Stephanie stepped away from WWE in January, resigning as Chairwoman and co-CEO at the same time her father Vince forced his way back onto the WWE Board of Directors. Previously, the one-time Women's Champion announced last summer that she'd be taking a leave of absence from her WWE duties... only to return after Vince himself was forced to "retire" amidst allegations of sexual misconduct.

By all accounts, Stephanie McMahon has stayed away from WWE since her resignation, bar being on hand for WrestleMania Weekend this past April.

As for the Survivor Series last night, the conclusion of that PLE saw CM Punk's shock return to the company, making his way out to the entrance way following the men's WarGames match; a match which also saw the return of Randy Orton after 18 months out injured.
