Another Huge WWE WrestleMania 39 Match Revealed?

WWE's WrestleMania 39 card is shaping up nicely with another big match.

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch vs. Bayley is in the works for WrestleMania 39.

This is per SI's Justin Barrasso, who writes that following Bayley's elimination of Lynch in this past weekend's women's Royal Rumble match, WWE is building towards a WrestleMania showdown between the two.

Lynch was thrown out of the Rumble by Bayley after putting the heel's Damage CTRL stablemates, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, over the top rope. Becky and Bayley were supposed to work a steel cage match on last week's Raw Is XXX special. Unfortunately, timing issues earlier in the evening meant cuts had to be made across the show, with Lynch vs. Bayley suffering the most. Damage CTRL ended up jumping Becky before the bell, reducing the bout to a beatdown angle inside the cage.

Originally, Lynch had been rumoured for a WrestleMania 39 program with Ronda Rousey, potentially in one of the main event spots. This now appears to be off the television. Rousey is off television altogether, in fact, having dropped the SmackDown Women's Championship to a returning Charlotte Flair in December.

Becky and Bayley last went one-on-one on Raw's 19 December 2022 episode, with Bayley taking the win.
