Anti Leg-Slapping Sign Seen Backstage At WWE WrestleMania 37

WWE's leg-slapping ban is seemingly alive and well, with the promotion displaying at least one "DO NOT SLAP THE LEG WHEN KICKING" sign backstage at WrestleMania 37 this past weekend.

Singer Bebe Rexha inadvertently revealed the poster on social media, having tweeted the following image of her having a conversation with Hulk Hogan:-

Rexha was in the house to perform America the Beautiful at the top of night one. She didn't appear onscreen during WrestleMania's second night.

WWE banned its performers from slapping their leg on kicks last month. It was reported at the time that fines would be issued for anyone caught doing so, though several wrestlers have broken the edict since then, including former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

For many wrestlers, slapping the thigh is second nature. It is typically done to create a slap sound as their kicks connect and while often associated with younger generations of performers, it's a habit that has been around for decades. One of the sport's most famous leg-slappers, Shawn Michaels, currently holds a position of power in NXT, so it's interesting that WWE is still enforcing the rule.

Nonetheless, here's hoping anyone who slapped the thigh escaped a 'Mania fine.
