Asuka Ranked No.1 On PWI Female 50 List
No one is ready for Asuka!
PWI have named Asuka as their top women's wrestler of 2017, besting her No.3 ranking from 2016. The result comes as no surprise as Asuka has been one of the most dominant wrestlers in sports entertainment since arriving in NXT. In her two year and three month tenure in WWE, she is yet to be pinned or submitted.
'The Empress of Tomorrow' made her main roster debut at the Raw exclusive PPV TLC in October, in a successful bout against the recently released Emma. With the longest running undefeated streak in WWE history under her belt, Asuka has become one of the hottest properties in wrestling, and many believe it is only a matter of time before she is crowned the Raw Women's Champion.
Of the top 10 on the list, 8 of the wrestlers are under employment with WWE. Charlotte Flair was knocked from her No.1 spot into second place, followed by Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, and Bailey. Natalya came in at No.7, with Naomi and Kairi Sane coming it at No.9 and No.10 respectively.
Outside of the WWE Superstars, the other wrestlers to make the top 10 were Io Shirai at No.6, and Impact Wrestling's Sienna, who was ranked as No.8.
