Having been missing from WWE TV for a couple of weeks after suffering a concussion and the gnarly-looking loss of a tooth, Raw Women’s Champion Asuka has been confirmed to make her in-ring return on tonight’s episode of WWE’s red brand show.

The return of the Empress of Tomorrow was revealed on WWE.com, with Asuka announced to face off with Shayna Baszler in just a matter of hours. Of course, it was the Queen of Spades who booted the Raw Women's Champ in the face to cause this most recent spell on the shelf.

Many had wondered whether Asuka would be cleared for action in time for next month’s WrestleMania 37, and there was a genuine fear amongst fans that the beloved striker was set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Of course, WWE could swerve us all by having Baszler score a quick victory tonight to take the title off Asuka and allow her to take some time off.

While that’s a possibility, if the Empress is indeed cleared for action, expect WWE to continue to build towards Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair at this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.
