Just what is going on with this 2023 WWE Draft pick? His Raw career is on ice?!

Odyssey Jones wrestled Cameron Grimes in a dark match before last night's episode of SmackDown went live on the air, but many are (rightly) confused by what WWE/Triple H has in mind for the guy.

Technically, Jones is a Raw wrestler - he was announced as one of the flagship show's picks in the 2023 WWE Draft just a few months ago, but has yet to make a splash there. Instead, Odyssey is working pre-show dark bouts on the other major brand.

The former NXT man's future is anyone's guess right now, being totally honest. He was announced on TV as one of Raw's picks, but things haven't really panned out. Of course, WWE's Draft is routinely ridiculed after the fact, but Jones can't even get started on the traditional 'A' show.

SmackDown might even be a better landing spot for him long-term. There are a lot of eyes on blue brand business due to Roman Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline, so eventually becoming part of that roster could be a blessing for Odyssey.

This wasn't a one off either. Jones and Grimes also wrestled a dark match before the 14 July SmackDown too.
