Gable Steveson claims his in-ring debut is "close" to happening, and says he'll work his first bouts for the company once WrestleMania 39 is over and done with.

The celebrated Olympian told MMAFighting that he's also targeting a second gold medal during the 2024 summer games. That seems to collide with his comments about working a full-time WWE schedule - perhaps Steveson will only appear as a part-timer on Raw/SmackDown, work a few bouts on pay-per-view and then disappear again to resume his training.

He says he's currently "waiting for that call" from WWE officials, then admitted that he'll have to wait it out until 'Mania 39 is in the can. Could Gable be the company's big reveal for the typically-hot post-WrestleMania episode of Raw?

Don't rule it out.

Steveson, who was signed all the way back in 2021, is setting lofty goals for his WWE run. He also told interviewers that he plans to "be the most physical, athletic, and dominant wrestler since probably Brock Lesnar". Then, he added: "Maybe even more than that".

Wanting to make a bigger splash than Brock is certainly bold.
