As covered earlier in the week, Orange Cassidy suffered a shoulder injury while competing at AEW Revolution 2022, where he was involved in the hard-bumping Face of the Revolution Ladder Match.

The Best Friends affiliate was described as the only person who had suffered a "serious injury" on the pay-per-view. There was no word on how long he would be out for, however, nor had there been any indication of when the injury occurred.

Cassidy took a number of big bumps during the bout, including a Keith Lee biel throw over the top rope and to the outside, suffering a hard landing on the floor.

Dave Meltzer writes in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that despite suffering a "significant shoulder injury", Cassidy won't need surgery. He won't be wrestling for a while, however, evident from the sling he wore on this week's episode of Dynamite.

How long the 37-year-old will be on the shelf is currently unknown. If this week is anything to go by, he may end up maintaining a presence on television without getting physical, accompanying Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, Wheeler Yuta, Kris Statlander, and Danhausen.
