With WrestleMania 37 now less than two months away, the majority of the card for this year’s Showcase of the Immortals remains massively up in the air – including the WWE Championship match!

As per the usually reliable @WrestleVotes, the most recent creative plans for WrestleMania 37 only have four matches set in stone for the two-day spectacular.

Those matches are Edge challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks defending her prize against Bianca Belair, another confrontation between Randy Orton and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, and a tag bout featuring rapper Bad Bunny.

Presumably, that Bad Bunny match will be the Grammy winner teaming with Damian Priest to face the Miz and John Morrison. Where the rest of WrestleMania 37’s matches are concerned, though, it appears WWE is still unsure of what direction to in go with countless other big-name talents.

As alluded to, likely the biggest surprise here is hearing that WWE isn’t sure what to do with Drew McIntyre or the WWE Championship currently in his possession. An obvious direction for McIntyre right now would seen to be him facing Sheamus at the Granddaddy of Them All, but that remains to be seen.

One added caveat this year, of course, is that February’s Fastlane PPV will be the first major event to take place once the WWE Network becomes exclusive to Peacock. That means that WWE will be looking to put together a stacked card for that PPV - which means that some matches that would usually be earmarked for 'Mania, may well happen at Fastlane.
